Batch #55
Cognac V.S.O.P. 84%
New Oak Medium Toast 16%
La Trappe Quadrupel Oak Aged Batch 55 has been aged for almost two years in
French VSOP Cognac Barriques. VSOP stands for Very Superior Old Pale –
a designation for Cognac that has aged for at least four years in oak barrels.
This extended aging gives the Cognac a rich, rounded, and
complex character, a layering that has transformed the Quadrupel
into a particularly refined Oak Aged.
Batch 55 is one of the most refined expressions in the Oak
Aged series. The aging in VSOP Cognac Barriques has produced a Quadrupel
with exceptional depth and balance – perhaps one
of the finest variations La Trappe has ever produced.
