La Trappe Quadrupel Oak Aged batch 47 has matured in oak barrels used for the production of Spanish Brandy.
Spanish Brandy, which originates from Andalusia in Spain, is a distilled spirit with about 40% alcohol by volume. This drink matures for about 3 to 10 years in oak Sherry and Torres barrels through a traditional Solera system, for consistent quality. The scent is refreshing with fruity notes of peach, plum, walnut and dried dark fruit. The taste is slightly sweet, soft, full-bodied and very refined. In the aftertaste a slightly sour warming taste with refined notes of caramel, vanilla and chocolate.
