In early 2023, they received two fresh Laird's apple brandy barrels that they knew would be the perfect set to age the great imperial stout in without any intention of blending, and let the barrels work their magic. 16 months later the time has come. These expressive barrels display all the decadent notes of baker's chocolate and fudge found in their large chunky base, alongside a mild almond note and baked apple flavor. Sometimes it's the simple ones that we talk about the most.
